• Yesterday I went to the Cambridge Public Library, the main branch outside of Harvard Square. While I fully expect to run into crazies at the Boston Public Library or other branches of the CPL, the main branch just doesn’t seem like the environment for that.
  • Yet there I was in the ladies room, with one other woman in the stall next to mine…”If they’re watching me take a piss, they’re watching you. They’ve been taping me for 7 or 8 years now, everywhere. Welcome to your country. Bunch of sexual perverts.”
  • Yeah…I’m kinda scared to go back to the library now…
  • This morning I watched last night’s season premiere of CSI. I wasn’t sure how I was going to like Ted Danson, but I must admit that I’m kinda digging the character. Needless to say, I did not care for the appearance of octopuses.
  • Huh – according to Merriam-Webster, both octopuses and octopi are acceptable as the plural of octopus.
  • And I’m still trying to figure out why I’m terrified/repulsed by Cthulhu while kinda fascinated at the same time.
  • At one point Danson’s character mentioned that he doubted there was video surveillance of the restrooms at a casino. I responded out loud: “Not if you talk to the woman in the bathroom at the Cambridge library!”
  • I started watching the pilot for Person of Interest. I want to like it, because I like Michael Emerson a lot. But I’m only 10 minutes in and it just isn’t holding me yet.
  • Was sad to see Amanda sent home on Top Chef: Just Desserts. She wasn’t my absolute favorite (that would be Rebecca), but I pretty much always end up rooting for reality show contestants named Amanda.
  • Meanwhile, I was quite pleased to see Olivier finally auf’ed on Project Runway. I hadn’t been crazy about him from the beginning, but he was really annoying me the past few episodes.  Though I have to admit that it was hysterical last week when he was asking Tim Gunn about bra cup sizes.
  • I have new sheets and new pillows coming today (thank you, Overstock.com). Of course, I ordered the new sheets, sage green flannel, when the nights were really cold. Now we’re back into nights being in the mid-to-upper 60’s. *sigh*
  • Maybe I’ll actually do dishes today…
